Painting an engine- any problems?

I'm looking to paint the engine of my 122. From what I've read here, the engine is a replacement since it's black. I'd like to paint it yellow like the rest of the body of the tractor. Can I paint it with the same type of paint that I'm using for the tractor? Will it take the heat? Will the build up of paint on the cooling fins cause the engine to overheat?

Thanks.

Yes you can use the same paint and don't paint the head fins!

It's ok to paint the cast iron fins on the cylinder, just don't paint the aluminum head. The paint on the cylinder fins will eventually just burn off what it needs too.
