IH Cub Cadet 149 Video

Here's some video footage of a 149 in action. The kohler k321 is original and is still running with the standard bore and standard piston.

Sweet video! Great 149's too! Got to check the gas before you start filming or you'll make the wall of shame.:biggrin2: Thanks for sharing it!

I didn't realize it was tire size that defined the 'garden' tractor. I thought it was the ability to use ground engaging implements.

Oh and I guess I should slow down when mowing. Your cut is much nicer than when I'm buzzing around.

As far as I know, the 23-inch tire "rule" is not set in stone. It's a generalization--mostly based on Sears/Craftsman standards--which are derived from their forebearers...Wheel Horse, John Deere, Cub Cadet, etc.

With that being said, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a tractor with 20-inch or smaller rear tires with a sleeve or 3-pt hitch.

With regard to mowing speed. Most people mow too fast with their riders. I see it all the time. Guys on those new Zero-turn mowers are flying when they mow. For them, time is money I suppose...

Heck, I wait all week to get some quality "seat time". I want to make it last:biggrin2:. Don't get me wrong, I'll speed it up if I'm in a hurry or if I see bad weather rolling in, but slow and steady wins the race :High5:

great vid Sharky, I really enjoyed it!

The seat time thing I can agree with too. I noticed I am running the cub slower than my old tractor and mowing in different patterns just to stay out a little longer. :beerchug:

HAHAHHAHAHA

glad Im not the only one. I try to find any excuss to take the 1650 out!:biggrin2::biggrin2: I took the 1650 out today to mow. A small lawn so naturally I went slower just for that extra seat time. I find an awful/let down crash after shutter her down when a job is done.:Unknown: Need more seat time wish the lawn was bigger!

Time to start volunteering your time to mow the neighbor's lawn. :biggrin2:
