Finally got my 1864

Been after this one for a while now. Picked it up from a coworker yesterday. Story goes his dad bought 2 of them brand new, this one to mow with and the 2nd had a rear mounted tiller and snowblower. When he passed each of his sons took one. Has 1600 hours but runs really well. He said his dad was a stickler for maintenance and I believe it. Has a 54" deck and a trac vac as you can see. Plastics arent great but I have a spare hood and sides from a 1641 I parted. I already love the power steering.

Thanks guys! I plan to mow with it so I can knock the deck off my 1641 with cat 0 so I can use it to do tractor stuff full time. Tired of r&r'ing the deck to do stuff, the single lift system is quite annoying. The 54" deck needs some love so I'll likely put my 48" on the 1864 until I get it patched up. PO let a friend use it and he hit a metal rod while mowing, and it shot right through the deck! I'm gonna pull the trac vac off and hopefully sell it. The ih caps just might find a new home on my O. BTW a 54" deck will fit on a 60" trailer with about 1.5" to spare :biggrin2:

1862, 1 owner with 1560 hours. Said he loved the tractor but was mowing one day and it started pouring oil out bad. So he found another to replace it instead of fixing this one.

All the plastics look decent. My partner in crime is keeping an eye on them for me.

He also threw in a deck, mostly to get it out of his way. I think he said it was on a 129(?).

Really not sure what I'm doing with this. Probably gonna part this one out. Next week when I have more free time I'm going to start looking into the 1864 and see what that needs to start mowing.

I try REALLY hard not to go to CL. I have 2 lawnmowers just because I was window shopping. I didn't want or need any more lawnmowers. Oh wait, make that 4 lawnmowers. :bash2:

It is rough. But I basically bought the plastics amd got the rest free :beerchug:

Strange as it may sound, I texted this guy sunday. We were trying to work out a time and we both mentioned our crazy work schedules. Turns out we work at the same place, and were on the same shift, but opposite sides of the plant. Its a small world afterall!
