10hp NF with 48" deck

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has experience with a NF with a 10hp engine running one of those QA 48" mower decks? I have a cub 72 with 10hp on it and wondered if it would be too much to to mow with or if it should be run with a 12hp? Thanks for your inputs

Welcome to OCC......... :Welcome2:

A lot of variables to matching up Horse Power with Mower Deck Cutting widths. 48" on a 10 HP tractor is pushing it and having the right conditions. The 38" or 42" would be better suited.

FWIW:
I used a 210 John Deere with a 46" deck for 12 years, cutting anything I run over, it has the same 10 hp kohler that Cub Cadet has.
Sold it to a friend and it is still is running, that is 21 years steady operation I know of.:beerchug:

I have use 38" decks and 48" decks on the same tractor and other than cutting width I noticed no difference. I think the only place you'd tax it is in too tall or wet grass.
