Would you really want someone so uninvolved deciding your fate, or anyone's fate? Some trials, criminal and civil, turn on fine points where you have to have an engaged attentive jury. Willing to weigh carefully the testimony.

Better they watch reality TV. Some just don't cut the mustard. Bless them all.

Well, lets think about this... There are many reasons someone might be unemployed or on state aid. Not necessarily for reasons that would make me think I wouldn't want someone as a juror. As far as being a registered voter goes... Lately it seems that one party is "rewarding" certain groups to register and vote. Some people would even like to make it possible for non citizens to vote.. Some states, "Maryland" for instance already allows non citizens to vote in local elections. This is the primary reason I made the comment specifically in regard to Maryland.

Local governments have the power to allow noncitizens to vote in local elections. Presently, eleven local governments, ten of them in Maryland, allow noncitizens to vote in their local elections.

The original conviction has been down-graded to manslaughter, Minnesota justice sounds like the punch line of a very bad joke
