K241 Camshaft?

2 Attachment(s)
I am doing a rebuild on my k241. Has anyone seen a camshaft like the one I have? The ACR stuff in on the outside making it difficult to install.

Any tips for this style of cam?

This is a pre ACR cam used on the early k series. It is two piece style that used spark timing rather than compression relief to aid starting. Early K series manuals have the process to install.

This style cam was used on early production 100s. I believe you can swap a newer style K series camshaft and do away with this antique.

Thanks Delta
I think that is what I will do. I was hoping to get the motor going sooner rather than later. I looked up the spec on Partstree and noticed that was the first one.

K241AS SN 944711 Spec 46280C

I will look for a more modern one.
