In May of 2021, I purchased a ZT1 50”, but did not have it for long due to a disagreement with my father, who’s property I mowed. I sold it, and went back to using the Craftsman GT. The tractor killed me, as it was so wide, it was hard to get my legs around it. We have since worked it out, and I agreed to purchase another one. I see a couple differences between the 2021 and 2022. The “box” type thing where the lap bars come out is now painted black instead of yellow. The seat on the 2022 has like a built-in scupper to allow water to escape, if for some strange reason you would leave it out in the rain.

As for rain, and driving the mower around in muddy grass which I have seen mentioned in some reviews- The mower does not need fenders. If the grass is wet, wait til tomorrow or the next day to mow. The Kawasaki will power right through it. Worse come to worst, double cut it at 4.5”, then whatever height you typically mow at.

When I purchased it in October 2022, I also opted for the Opti 4 oil, which makes the three year unlimited hour warranty a six year unlimited hour warranty.

So far, other than a few appearance mods, lol, all I have done is add the mulch kit and put a toggle switch on the panel for the headlights. I don’t mow at night very often, so I’d rather save them for when needed, and not have them on all the time.

Also, a good buddy of mine is a die hard Deere fan that does not drink beer…so yes, I had to give him a couple jabs here and there. Lol

C,mon Spring! I am ready to GO!

Hey if You really want to give you die hard Deere Fan a Heart attack! Show him this Picture of My Barn. I know it gives the die hard Cub Fans a Heart attack as well. What You don't see in the Picture is the 5 Deere Garden tractors and 1 Deere compact behind them :bouncy:

As You can see, I am a bit color-blind when It comes to Garden tractors. I don't care what the brand is, I don't think there is a Garden tractor brand I hate. Except maybe the current Husqvarna Garden tractor, which is built on a stamped frame instead of a rail frame it had been built on pre-2011

Actually there are 3 Cub Cadets In the 2nd Picture. Only Two Deere's in that 2nd Picture actually cost me more than the XT3 GSX The JD 2025R TLB and the JD X748 behind the XT3

When You don't have a Mortgage and house is paid off and You Have an Army Pension on top of your base working salary, all Your Kids are through school, Uncle Sam Paid for their education as All 3 served In the Army. You have a lot of extra Money to spend on outdoor Power equipment, especially if You don't like other high cost hobbies like car collecting:biggrin2:

Love the stickers

I love the American flag sticker set up as well as the “Nothing runs like a WHAT” LOL, very neat!

GregBert70 03-06-2023 07:32 PM

Yes, that would be nice. I have too many hobbies (cars, photography, etc), but I certainly wouldn’t mind having a lawn tractor too, just to pull around a dump cart and to plow my driveway. Lol

Thank you, Lawn Boy. I can’t leave anything alone. Lol

Me neither, LOL. I enjoying modifying cars, trucks, and even lawn mowers even if it’s just a little something.
