I have a vintage Cub Cadet Lawn tractor to sell, Need help figuring out model, etc
My husband and I inherited my Dad's Cub that I grew up mowing with in the 70's. My husband knew all about it, but he passed away in February. He used to spend hours on the Cub forums and loved all the guys and gals on here. I need help figuring out how to identify it so I can get it priced and sold. I will really appreciate any help you can give me.

If you could post a few pictures of it, we will be able to tell you what you have and give you an idea of the value.

How to post pictures???
I have pictures I can post, but I can't figure out how. When I click the Insert Image icon, it asks for a URL for the picture. The pics are on my computer...not the web. Can someone please help? Thanks!

VManning, sorry to hear about your husband. If he was on here, do you know what screen name he used?
That is a nice looking, well optioned 128. I would probably say that it is worth $500-$600 but I would put an asking price of $700-$750. That is if it runs and doesn't have any issues. Tractor buyers are tough and cheap so be prepared for them to point out every scratch and issue with it. What part of Tennessee are you in? |
I agree with Oak. It is a model 128. They were produced from 09/71 to 10/74. The Tractor Chassis Serial Number would pin point the Month and Year the tractor was built.

That looks to be a very nice condition "survivor," or tractor that hasn't been restored. If you can get help getting it running, your sale will go quicker and net a larger profit.
Something of note: That is a garden tractor, not a lawn tractor. Use that in your advertising text along with any implements, mower deck, etc. Tell them the back story of your dad, all good stuff. |
It appears to be in good original condition as well which people tend to desire more as of late.
