383 hydro will not move and for sale at garage sale

without knowing much other than the price is right... "could" this be an easy fix?

surely they checked the tranny fluid but I do not know.

Was going to buy it for the deck but do not know if it will fit under my 71 series.

Thoughts?

Anyone interested in it IF the deck would fit the 71 series? I do not need the tractor

Could have a broken belt.....

What is a "71 series"? :bigthink:

I had a 383 that did the same thing. Fried the hydro. 383 is a lawnmower, 71 is a garden tractor. I don't think the decks interchange.

Thank you... that helps me with my decision.

This is what my 71 series tractor should look like...

That is a model 71, not a series 71.
Deck won't work on your tractor.

I think most of us knew what he meant.

I refer to different series of tractors all the time. '82 series, 1X8/9 series, Quietline series..... I honestly didn't know what he meant. I was trying to think of a lawn tractor "71 series" and was coming up with nothing. Proper terms are important.

I agree with George here, but understand where you're coming from. The more you play the interweb, the more you expand your little flat cornfield mind. :biggrin2::beerchug:
