K-series Engine Swap?
 

I'm about to buy a used K-series to repair my 1000.
I found a reasonably priced 10HP Kohler K-AQS-241 but before I pull the trigger I thought I should research possible engine swaps.

Are there any other engines that can easily be swapped in to the Quietlines?

Don't worry, this one is just for mowin' .. the other Cub is being restored with all OE parts.

Nope. You’re pretty much limited to that engine, well any quietline engine. Make sure your engine is 1” PTO shaft, and that the shroud has indents on the bottom or they will hit your motor mounts. I tried swapping a M12 into mine and it’s just a bit too tall because the shroud is a little more square and it won’t fit under the firewall, and it doesn’t have the indents for the motor mount bolts.
