Working on new to me Cub Cadet 1641.

1641 (145-653-100) - Cub Cadet Garden Tractor (SN: 821060 - 880000)

Model #303447 Type 0447-01 Code 940916

Just notice there was nothing going to this Vacuum port in picture below.

Where does this go?

Thanks in advance.

That is the overflow for the carburetor float in case the float gets stuck open the fuel comes out of it.

Thank you.:Thanks:

There is no hose on that elbow but I believe there should be. If gas dribbles out, it goes right through the engine cooling fan and blows it straight out the front past the muffler.

Okay
Now I have a fuel /emission hose neatly routed to the bottom of the tractor/
on the float overflow tube.

I replaced the crankcase breather tube and top gasket.

I was putting the breather base on and :bigthink:
This bracket in the picture below seems to be to tall.
it will bend the breather base if I tighten it down.

Is this normal?

Maybe you have it turned the wrong way?

Getter-Done 08-08-2020 10:39 PM

I will take a picture.
There is a bolt that is striped out/ that may be causing the problem?

So

I will check that to see if it :American Flag 1:

The bracket turned the other way is a whole lot better.

Thanks Mike

I got the bolt issue fixed.

Now I will fix the PO's wiring mess.
Then I will be up and running.
