Tractor clean up
Soon I'm going to start taking the 1250 apart, I'm planning on cleaning everything, frame, transmission, engine, the whole ballpark. Anyway, what's the best product to use for degreasing these parts? I'm not planning on repainting the tractor as it's in good shape already, so what do you guys suggest?

I’ve had good luck with Engine Brite. Just make sure you follow the directions properly and the results are good.

I like purple power. I put it in a pump sprayer. Spray on dry. Scrub and rinse. Read the caution label before using.

Simple Green is good too.
|
Orange marmalade cleaner works for me, and it taste good too.

I’ve used the foamy engine Brite on my trucks diesel before and got it warm then used it and seemed to work better that way. |
X-2 for the Simple Green, and I add a pressure washer to that. And I'm not getting into the do's and don'ts of it. Use your head, common sense, and you'll be good.

I think I'll use brake cleaner to get the oil, grime, and dirt off. That's the beauty of the whole tractor being steel, you don't have to worry about destroying any plastic! |
