Hydraulic snow blower

3 Attachment(s)
I built myself another attachment for 1772, a hydraulic driven snow blower. I have been thinking about this for a while now and I finally got the chance when I was given a 42" craftsman blower for nothing. Started off by building a mounting frame with my quick attach set up. Next was figuring out what size motor to use. Quite a bit of math involved. I wound up with a .388 Cid motor and with all the pulleys, rpm, and psi being factored in i came up with 15 ftlbs of torque driving the blower. The motor runs off the kwik-way loader pump. I made a video with more explanation and it running. I still need to figure out how to run the chute from the seat. Will also be adding a master releif valve to the system in the event I jamb the blower.

Cool, great for those big drifts.
You should put some wheels on it.

OSHA doesn't approve of the belt guarding. :) Nice work

That's pretty cool. I was thinking of doing the same thing when I get my loader done.

I'll put an " experimental" decal on it. That way I don't have to follow the rules. Lol

That's a good idea. Might have to do that.

Nice work as always Ken.

This is the pump I'm using on my loader if I ever get enough time to work on it. Looks like the same you are using as the motor.

You Yankees get to have all the fun!:bash2: Seriously, that is rather nice looking. Now being the Southerner I am, I'll ask aren't snow blowers/throwers supposed to "float".:bigthink:
