Thanks for having me on board

It asked if I would tell a little about myself...NP. As far as Cub Cadets go, over the years I have owned, and/or rebuilt a couple of "121s", a "149", an "LT018", an "LT1024" and now an "LTX1050." Actually, I just sold the tiller that came with the 149. (That was back about ten years before the turn of the century.) Still have the snowblade that was on the 121s. Enough of that!

I've had to rebuild the old K35 Kohler motors, and I've replace entire motors. One recent project was to stick a Briggs 24Hp V twin on an LT1018. I just changed wiring harness, carb cables and engine cooling shroud over from the LT1024 I had with a badly rusted deck. Later on, I found an old L model twin 19 Hp engine to stick on the 1024. No deck yet, so I modified a 46 inch deck from an MTD "Yard Machine". That was my primary mowing machine and I was pretty proud of the way it turned out being put together with the extra stuff I had laying around. It is my "Mutt"

Well, this year I went out and bought a purebred LTX1050. Think I got dooped on this one. I'm just gonna say "Hydrogear" for now. Pretty sure I'll be mowing with the "Mutt" this spring. I'll figure it out...….fudge!

Now that I've read your reply, it made me think back....about 30 years ago. My mistake, the two 121s I mentioned were not 121s. They were 123s. I remember being told they were among the first hydro lawn and garden tractors being marketed. At times, I wish I still had them. Heavy duty and that long stroke K35 Kohler single cylinder engine had a lot of torque.

Welcome to OCC! 121 was custom built by Sam Mac. It was a 71 from the factory. :beerchug:
