What tach meter tool do you reccomend for single cylinder . Does anyone know if anyone in wny area that cuts tires.

An on tractor tach? or something to just check revs in the shop? I still use a Vibrometer to check governed engines when I work on them, I like the Digitrons for on the track. You can record exhaust temp, rpm , head temp, and wheel speed if you want and play it back.

I use a non-contact optical tach that reads off of a piece of reflective tape. I picked it up off amazon for less than $20.

There is also cheap tiny tacks under $10 on ebay that work for setting rpm's
just wrap a small wire around a spark plug lead.
As far as cutting tires, I try to avoid it, as usually leads to a tube or tire replacement as all the air leaks out quickly depending on the size of the cut.
