Mixed breed Original???
 

So, I see there is a new picture on the title page above....Correct me if I wrong, It looks like a modified Original. More like a Hydrostatic Original. Whatever, this thing looks really cool.. Is there a story about this beautiful machine? Do tell!

I've looked into it a little bit, and managed to find some info on another Cub forum about it. It is indeed an Original but with hydrostatic drive. The engine is a 10 horse instead of 7. Supposedly there were actually 2 of these built, and the other one kept its original 7 horse. Because of the driveshaft running through they had to offset the whole tower to clear the steering column.

From what I read, it was an experimental unit built as a demonstration of the Sundstrand hydrostatic drive unit to show that it could be done. Of course, we didn't actually see a hydrostatic Cub until the 123.

It was an IH experimental unit, predecessor to the 123.

Does someone on here own it?

Not that I am aware of. The last known owner was IH itself.
