Back at it today. Needed to get some of the "gunk" off the engine before tearing into it, so back at the pressure washing. And unlike the last expedition, today it was down right cold. 33* cold...:ScrewLoose:

So what's the plan with the original engine? It sure is dirty, but doesn't look like the top crank seal was bad. Maybe someone spilt oil a few times while adding it?

Well John, the plan for now is to get it running, and go from there. They are almost impossible to find a replacement for. The crank is a "step down" from 1" to 7/8". So not real common...
It ran half ass when I brought it home, but didn't mess with it, as of that time I wasn't going to do anything with it. But now, want to get it usable. So, time will tell.
