Leaky muffer bearing

So far I havent seen the oil rise or fall in level significantly. It WAS doing it from the front and rear cylinder heavily... this is with new rebuilt injectors from BK Diesel. I rotated the injectors forward one cylinder to see if the problem followed them, and now it's mostly doing it from the rear, with a trace from the middle one starting. The engine is running smoother on startup now, so rotating the injectors did SOMETHING.
To add another puzzling event, I had the engine idling for a while while unloading the trailer, and suddenly I heard what I can only describe as an abnormally very loud diesel knock start coming from it. I looked over and saw poofs of light smoke coinciding with the knock, from what sounded like 1 cylinder. I had a hunch it was a stuck injector (or maybe a ring??) so I bumped the throttle slightly and it immediately stopped, and didnt do it again for the next hour or so I used the machine. :confused2.gif" 1772 w/ I assume Kubota d640, unknown hours. |
