Time with my model 72 custom

Happy New Year Cub Cadet enthusiasts!

Every time it has snowed here, a few days later the temperature threatens 60*, and melts away! This still holds true for this week, as by Tuesday, we're guessing 58* ! Ha!

I needed some lighting on the model 72. Not wanting to flip the coin for a headlamp panel, I simply put together some scrap aluminum and came up with a good, functional "cyclops" light for night use near both driveway aprons. No new holes are ever drilled into my cub cadets.

Needed another quick and simple solution for a good rear tail light. Four batterys that are size AA power this red tail light! No power wire from tractor needed! This led light is super bright red, and can flash red light as well as being lit full time! Mounted with a piece of aluminum diamond plate to the left rear fender reflector hole!

Also, amazingly, the voltmeter decided to work! Lights up nice when the light switch is pulled, and functions as should while engine is operating!

Also, have been enjoying the the clean up the 56" Custom IH snow plow can do! :biggrin2:

doing some winter maintenance on the 127. everything on the drive shaft is shot. got $270 worth of part coming. i decided to make the tunnel removable. its just to much of a pain to work on these narrow frames with that tunnel in place. i just drilled the spot welds out and ill replace the holes with nuts and bolts.

Ken6x6, Thank you for the nice comment on my 72! Truth be told, it was my first cub I repainted, so there was alot of knowledge gained! Dale rebuilt the k241 thats in it, and no matter how cold it has been here, if I just point my finger at the start button, the 72 roars to life!!!

Say, I can't agree more about these narrow frame hydro units! Love them to death! But, gosh, to preform any speed control adjustments is a serious pita! Your idea and what you done by removing the tunnel cover really makes sense!

On another note, I submitted my list of parts for my 1450 to my wife, in hopes she gets them for me on my b-day! I plan on a mild transmission rebuild, and have a good unit in my corner waiting if needed! My 1450 means alot to me, but then do all my cubs! Thanks again for the nice comments, and help!

Have a good day fellow enthusiasts!!!!!!
