Some machine tools I am considering for my son's shop.
These are the only pictures I have, so far
Thanks guys!

Yea, you really need better pictures,, and model numbers,

That mill could be worth $0 to $1700

I kinda wonder because I have a Jet JMD-18 mill drill that I should sell,,,
I bought it and then found out I am not a milling kind of guy,,,
give me a torch!! :biggrin2:

It looks to be a Grizzly G9745 a discontinued model that is 3 phase.

Any tooling included? That would make a difference.

A decent tabletop mill can be bought new for around $800 and the Clausing lathe is worth around $2000 as it sits if all the functions work. Some Clausing lathes use a screwy hydraulic system to obtain variable speeds and was prone to failure and very expensive to repair. I don't believe it's this model is hydraulic as the speed control is up on top. Just make sure to test everything if you get serious. The lathe is a nice size for a home shop. Let us know the outcome!

If that Kurt vise is included,, the vise alone is worth ~$250+

Kurt has quit building that style vise after 30+ years. I bought 2 of the remaining inventory last year for over $500 each. Unless somebody has abused the vise its worth quite a bit. It looks to be one of the later revisions that will open around 8". We have about 24-26 of those vises here at work if that tells you anything about the quality--some are over 20 years old.

Looks to be a genuine Aloris tooling system on the lathe--thats a plus!

More info.
The lathe did not make the trip as they had no easy way to get it out of the bldg.
The mill is indeed a 3 phase discontinued model grizzly #9748.
Includes what is shown here....

There is a 3 phase converter also on the auction but not as part of the mill.
Also some new cutters and colletts.
7.5HP Ingersall Rand air compressor w/80 gal tank
Also a nice bench grinder.

Auctions can be funny as we all know. If you get a lot of industrial buyers stuff could go high. On the other hand if a bunch of homeowners show up maybe you can steal it. Still, would not be the first time I seen guys get auction fever and way over pay.. Good luck
