Well after looking around for a while I finally registered, I've worked on tractors from the time I was a kid, my family was a Massey and Kubota dealer and Deere
I've done restoration work on all kinds of equipment. But the cub cadet was always a little bit special to me because that was was the first tractor that I played with at 10 years old, it was a 104. I finally found a really nice one in Ohio a couple of weeks ago it's nearly new, I've also got a 147 that's really clean except that it needs a new crankshaft the PTO bearing came loose and ruined the end of the crank. I am doing a nut and bolt restoration on it. I'm using Base coat clear coat and Its really turning out nice.

Really nice 104. Is that original paint ? Hard to tell from pictures. Love to see some more of it and the 149. Thanks for sharing and welcome to OCC

It's all original paint and all I bought it from a guy who bought it from the original owners estate. According to him, the original owner had a small yard in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. The pictures that I have of the 147, will not upload. Its in a million pieces right now, I'm hoping to get it back together in a few weeks

I've just finished painting my 106 today now its reassembly time, this is also a very well maintained tractor that I found wasn't going to restore it but I had to replace the wiring harness and one thing led to another now it's a full blown rebuild.
