Weed Eating Lawn Mower
Well as some may know we have a Lot of Rocks in Arkansas, and keeping blades sharp on you lawn mower here is hard to do. So I came up with another one of my Great ideas. I wasn't sure it would work, but it works better than steel blades. I took off the old blades and cut them down, and then welded 4 7/16 nut on each one,
then put my walk behind weed eater line on them. I cut the back lot where I have the most rocks. The lot is 112 X 150 feet and the line showed almost no ware at all. http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...ps04ff106c.jpg |
Innovation at it's finest.
Can't see why that wouldn't work well, after all those DR trimmer gadgets are the same thing except, I think what you have come up with here is safer. |
pretty good idea there chief, maybe my dad should try that, he just bought new blades and his cub still don't mow great plus he has some rocks as well

Chief, that is a great idea. I admire you thought process. Here in central IL, if we hit a rock in the yard, we are looking for the closest kid to blame for throwing it there...haha. Nice work !!

A ride on weed whacker now that is too cool, love it. :beerchug:

Bet that makes a interesting sound when engauged. I kind of like the idea ill have to try it on something sometime

it is more quieter than steel blades, and a lot more quieter when you hit a rock, LOL

hmm i wonder why no ones ever thought of that before....:bigthink: how does it work in tall grass? where the front of the mower deck lays the grass down..i wonder if itd be worth it to cut the front of the deck out to cut tall grass. i think im gonna have to try this.
