Belt info

I'm rebuilding my 54 inch deck, have all the necessary bearing (Timkin) and cones and seals looking at belts. I've also replaced idler pulleys. Has anyone had experience with these blue Aramid belts slipping under load? I've been told they will slip. Has anyone had this experience ?

Thanks.

I've never used whatever you said.
I do use Dayco belts (gray) all the time with no problems. They're usually half the price of the CC/MTD belts. I get them at Farm and Fleet. Dayco has a cross reference on their website.
I've also used whatever brand belt that Tractor Supply sells (blue) no problems there either.
You just have to make sure length is close and angle are right.

I use the the blue Kevlar banded/wrapped v-belts for everything.

Tillers, blowers, mowers, in 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8". Never had a problem with belts slipping, and they last a good while on the mule drive setups too.

I buy mine from VBeltGuys online.
