Voltage Regulator Replacement

I had to track down a new voltage regulator, so I went to my number one source for parts and information: the local O'Reilly's. They were able to look at the original Delco Remy, and track down the right replacement for 60 bucks and change. Made by Standard, the new part number is VR220.
Hope this saves someone some time and brain power!:biggrin2:

His john Deere lawn mower of course, not his '48 F100 pickup.
Is your crystal ball muddy? or your ESP has a bad flux cap-eye-sator,
or it is low on R-22 refrigerant :biggrin2:

I'm sorry. This came off a 122 and I needed one for a 70. I figured they were all about the same. If that's wrong, I'll take this down, I don't want anyone to get bad information.

There are different V/R's, mechanical and solid state. Within the mechanical ones, IH used three different one depending on model of tractor.

That is why I asked.

Better not be bad information Jack! :biggrin2: No, Really, Thanks for posting this. If you need anymore, or anybody is looking for one,
to have on hand like I want as a just in case I need one, there's some listed on Ebay for about $30.00 The one I picked up had a make offer on it,
so I got it for $22.00 + $8.95 shipping.
He was asking $28.95 plus the shipping so... anyway it was listed as... "for a Massey Ferguson", just an F.Y.I. Thanks again Western. :beerchug:
