3D printing?

1 Attachment(s)
Anybody doing any 3D printing? I got an inexpensive printer for Christmas, and have been playing with it. Mostly making nosecones for model rockets (scale models of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules).

Found this IH logo on line, printed one this morning. Any other CC stuff that might be worth printing? Steering column bushing, throttle, lift and hydro handles, Gear shift knob (which is now unavailable I think). The plastic can be most any color, I got black and white to start.

thoughts?

Now, not in jest,, how about printing a two piece fan that can bolt to a Hydrostatic driveshaft,,,
it would save a ton of work in replacing that fan,,, :beerchug:

Fan not a bad idea, but my printer is limited to a 4.7 inch (120mm) cube. But larger printers could probably do it.

A 4.7X4.7 size would be perfect for half a fan,,

make 2 that could bolt together around the shaft,,
make the blades thicker,, and more of them,,

Go for it!! they will sell,,, :bigthink:

Isn't the fan more like 6 inch dia?

Guy joined within the last year that printed a few IH emblems for the grills. I bought 2 of them. He even painted some of them. They look really nice. They are not a molded part, but from 5 feet away who cares. My lawnmowers have to get dirty if they are going to stay here.

With a hobbyist version, don't know what you could make besides emblems. With a commercial unit, a lot of knobs/handles etc. I do not know if they make a rubber material, but if they did--pads for the pedals, implement lift handles.

So, you can come get the grinder now. It'll be October before I have any more corn. Just leave your truck, its cheaper in bulk.
