First time Cub owner

New guy here. I have owned John Deere, Case and other models but this will be my first Cub. I have restored several mowers and a few tractors. I recently purchased a 1972 Cub Cadet 108 to restore and use. I am really impressed with the quality of the old cub and cant wait to use it. I am having a difficult time finding carb parts as my throttle shaft is broken. I will also have to replace the clutch as mine has been welded on and rattles. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. The forum has been a big help so far Thanks!!

Welcome to the world of Cubs! Check out the sponsors at the top of every page. Im sure one of them has a carb, or you could put a wanted ad on this site for a #26 carb. Im not touching the welded on clutch comment. Pics Needed on that one. Pics wanted for our enjoyment! I cant wait to hear that your driving it-- Im sure it will blow away your expectations! :beerchug:

Now I own 2 cubs

Well I just bought another one. This time its a 2284. Man its a big mower! Just bought it today and going back to pick it up tomorrow. Excited about trying it out. Now I have to decide about keeping the old 108 wife already asking what I need two mowers for lol.
