Wideframe bumper build

Building a bumper and maybe weight holder for my 1250 and wideframe machines. Last night I found an old narrow frame mule drive that was unusable and took the front quick attach mount. cut it in half and eyeballed everything to see about how I want it. Now I need to find some steel to go between the tractor and the bumper, cut the top section off and make it flush so it can fit below the hood when open and remove the lower grille section for clearance. But it's a start.

Holy crap, what do you plan to hit???
You don't need any additional weight with that on front!
Bit overkill.....

I agree, sort of. Overkill for sure but it does classic look to it. Almost era correct looking. How heavy is that thing? And what did it come off of?

Good luck steering that with one hand.
But on the other hand....if you have a big ol' #2 tiller hung on the back

Rather than old, I went current,,
The local Deere dealer gave me a 100 HP tractor grill takeoff,,
I put it on my 40 HP tractor,,

That grill guard weighs more than a 40 pound suitcase weight,,,

It surprisingly is a lot lighter than you would think, about 30-35 pounds. Nowhere near what a blower or blade weights. Have no clue what it's off of, bought it at auction for 75 bucks. But if I had to say, most likely a ford 4000 from what I've seen. I had plans to put it on my JD 316 but made something different and thought if I don't use it it'll sit in storage forever. I know it's overkill but who cares? It's good protection, weight, and looks cool. After some thinking, I'm just gonna take the bolts out and put pins in so it can swing out of the way to access under the hood.
