I bought a nice 582 and am wondering what viscosity oil I should use. How does a garden tractor engine benefit from low-ash oil? Less carbon deposits? This tractor has a Briggs V-twin: never had one. How are these engines coupled to a 3 sp gearbox?

should have an opposed twin, not a V

Should be a 16 hp opposed twin.30 wt I use in winter 10w 30 below 32 degrees.
