B&S 18hp. Will it fit in a cub as a doner engine?

I have a chance to get an 18hp Briggs/Stratton engine from a craftsman garden tractor. Would it work as a doner motor for a cub? Thanks for info.

Only other bit I know on the motor is its a vertical shaft motor.

If your tractor has a horizontal shaft motor your out of luck with a vertical shaft engine.
