Wide frame hood stop
I made this hood stop for my 129 and made a print for it for anyone wanting to make their own.

Thank you for posting this, it gave me an idea for my 1650. Right now I'm using a cable I made. I found this pic. of someone else's idea but the dimensions change on every tractor.

NICE!!! I like the rigid stop as well as using a cable, either way solves a problem. Dad has a 129 with a shock absorber (I can't remember the proper name), I'll try to get a pic next time I am at the shop.
I guess Cadet realized this was a problem and that is why they developed the hood latch on the 82 series. Dad told me last week that they had a new one on the showroom floor get the hood bent because a customer didn't realize there was a latch and tried to force the hood shut. |
