QA snow thrower

Tis the season. I have a cylops 1863 the only blower I have available now is my QA blower, will it mount up and work properly?

R Bedell 01-07-2022 05:30 AM

The QA36/42B Snowthrower should mount right up.

It'll fit, but it probably won't be geared quite right (assuming your cyclops has the newer, smaller diameter PTO).

Probably not a huge concern, but performance will decrease. :bigthink:

The QAxxA/B were NOT designed for the Cyclops Series Tractors.

Do you know the diameter of the smaller pto pully? I would like to measure mine.

Yes I agree it is not designed for the cyclops, for now until I get my other blower I hope I can manage to get it going anyway I love a challenge. After all I one had it nstalled on my mtd husky.

Yes, you can use it on a cyclops.

I was thinking that the later cyclops had a bigger diameter pto pulley

1863's have the 6" PTO. My guess is that you will need to put a larger pulley on the blower or you will over speed it.:bigthink:

Thanks Sam Il'l look into that thought, I have to add though on my 1811 it seemed to be slow so maybe a little more speed is what it needs? Lol I wonder what rpm its rated for?
