Ok, so here goes. I’ve been a member of OCC for about a year. I’ve never posted anything but this site has helped me immensely. So today is the day I’m actually going to try to tackle posting a message and maybe even a picture.....

A little about myself, I bought my Cub Cadet 125 from my brother-in-law last year with a locked up motor. Partially because I’ve always wanted one, and partially for the challenge of rebuilding a Kohler 12 horse motor. I’ve rebuilt small motors in the past , mainly dirt bikes. So I thought, how hard can it be..... definitely more of a challenge than what I thought. It turns out they are nothing like a vintage 2 stroke. Somewhere along the line, I caught the “ cub bug”.

After the rebuild I thought, well I might as well paint it. The project quickly spun out of control. Of all the things I’ve “ restored”, “ rebuilt”, or “repaired “, this has definitely been the most fun. I’m going to try to post some pictures, let me know what you guys think....

Thanks, I thought when I was done with the paint and rebuild that would be it....but I can see now it’s never ending. I had some paint left over, so why not paint the deck, why not find a trailer. It’s an addiction I tell ya.

I’m a little north of you about 50 miles south of St. Louis

It won't be much longer until you have another Cub or two, or ten.

Nice tractor. Great job on the restoration.

Thank you,
I'm a narrow frame guy, but I like the look of a wide frame. If that makes any sense. I swapped out the front end with one off a 1811. Not sure what the " correct police" are going to say about it. But I like it.
