Just happened upon a tractor in need of a new home only a few miles from my house. Price is outstanding to boot. Going to see it tomorrow after church. Will update if things work out. :biggrin2:

Well no news yet. :angry: CL seller's can sure get under my skin at times. I was told he would be home today when I got in from church. Gave me a number to call to get directions. No answer to the phone and no response to my emails today. I am not going to jump the gun and instantly think this is one of those no sell adds. Life can happen. Also I have to keep in mind UK is playing North Carolina today and that can over ride any previous plans, LOL. Will give it another day or two. Although, when I did a search on the phone number it showed up as an Elizabethtown number which is quite aways from here. At any rate, the add was for a 1650 that looked pretty good. Didn't have any side panels on it, but no big deal. Add said would turn over and fire but would not run. Another no big issue. No extras but with it being a big 16hp motor I don't care, LOL. More updates as I get them.

Don't know if I looked at the same tractor or not, it would turn over but no compression. Almost no oil on dipstick. You know what that means----toasted the rod bearing then broke the rod. May not be same tractor but was just outside of E-town. A buddy of mine saw it with a for sale sign and called me. Like I said, might not be same tractor, never asked if it was on CL or not. I passed as I would have to sleep with it if I brought another non-running project home!!

No it was in Berea, just south of me here in Richmond. I was saying that the phone number which is a cell, showed being an E-town number tho which I thought was strange. Here is the CL posting for it:
