Here ya go Duke! Fresh paint on the blade yesterday and assembled/installed this morning. Got a IH shield decal on it's way. Correct color for the blade just helps overall I think. Looks good now boyz but it will be used. Fired up the Original and the 1250 to get a shot of the three and get to run the Shop Vac too! Beautiful day today @ 65 degrees and taking full advantage.

Dye took very well and looks like it is factory color. Seat is not yet installed just waiting for a good cure before I plant my bottom on it!

That plow looks amazing! I have a question. I see that the lift arm is slotted where it bolts to the plow frame. Looks like its on a wide frame tractor, so is that a common thing, or a transition thing between narrow frame and wide frame designs? Im pretty sure that on my narrow frame plow, that its bolted together with non slotted holes :bigthink:

I think you need to buy "that" tractor Duke.:biggrin2:

Great looking tractors!! I'm glad to hear that they are being put to use and not retired to trailer queen duty. It's not as much fun to look at them as it is to use them!!!

Seat time

4 Attachment(s)
Got the seat installed, universal mount but not for a vintage Cub. Had to weld on 4 tabs with holes drilled to mount this seat. Used the tractor for about an hour to pull a trailer/hauling tree tops. I ain't put the blade down on Mother Earth yet just want paint to cure first. Seat has me sitting higher tough and my head is closer to the roof on the cab...so I may replace it for a nice vintage one if I find it. Anyone know of a vendor that sells replacement upholstery for a low back seat pan? A big thanks to all for the comments and input!!

Ready for one of nashcub's #40 box blade copies!!!

Methos 03-15-2011 06:30 PM

That's a work of art! The only thing missing from that picture is me!

Tractor2nv 03-15-2011 06:52 PM

Looks great in the pics Duke but I must admit that the PO did not use the correct colors when he painted it and you will find trash in the paint as well. That's why I have made it a worker and a keeper. I'll have 3 gravel drive's to maintain and push snow for 2 paved drive ways plus Mother Earth chores the grandkid's want to learn.

zippy1 03-15-2011 10:52 PM

Looks real nice Kevin! I'm still looking at rust color machinery:biggrin2:

Sminkey 03-15-2011 11:02 PM

Nice work again Kevin!! You do the cubs proud:beerchug: I saw over on http://www.urschelsccconnection.netf...om/Chassis.htm at the bottom of the page he has them listed, no pic. Great deal too if he has them. Good luck bud!

Mooner 03-15-2011 11:21 PM

That's a really great collection of Cubs. I know some of those "other guys" will be green with envy. :ROTF2:

Okay the latest results on the dye job. After about 4 hrs.seat time I can see a impression on the seat from the pockets of my pants worn into the dye. But it is not sticky as of yet from the dye which was my main concern. May be a different story come a hot Tennessee summer! The first time I owned this tractor (without the cab) it had a beautiful un-torn/un-ripped upholstery and white pan seat correct for the year/model. Then when I got the tractor back with the cab installed the rare find seat had been replaced with a torn one! :bash2:
