Duke, thanks buddy:beerchug: I don't have the snow to put the thrower on, and I've been wanting to play with the rear blade.

Thanks William:beer2:

I love my 147 Ben and thanks, good to hear you had dad's out today.

Oh yeah! To bad everything is a iceberg up there now after the warm ups they had. I forgot about that but I'm guessing they are not done with snow this year.:beer2:

Sminkey 03-02-2011 12:38 AM

Nick, the hydro is Nice!! Still like the gear drive, but totally dig the hydro, electric lift is sweet too!!

william1041200 03-02-2011 07:32 AM

I didn't have anything better to do! :biggrin2: I like that blade, and the elec lift. Sweeet! You should get a heated seat from a cadillac on it. :beerchug:

_DX3_ 03-02-2011 01:53 PM

:bigeyes: OK, I guess I have to stick my tongue to the flag pole now?? LMAO... Great Job Jude... and well even just plain showing off that you can raise and lower your blade without the motor running.... I don't blame you. :biggrin2: :Bowdown2: I Love it.. You are going to have some fun with that one!!

lol, thanks William! A heated seat would be nice, was at my boss's house the other day and they have a heated toilet seat:biggrin2:

Hey DX3, supposed to be -35 here tonight with windchill, bet your tongue would stick nicely to the pole in that temp:bigeyes: I tried to make a vid today of me using it, but it was just to icy out although it still worked pretty good.

ihnick 03-02-2011 04:07 PM

on the 124, you got to push in the button on the middle of the pto clutch. then it will spin and the holes will line up

Thanks Nick! I got that figured out, just trying to figure out how to rotate pto with no center thrust button or pto lever button, and with the engine out of tractor:bigthink:

_DX3_ 03-02-2011 05:39 PM

Take a wooden or hard rubber mallet and hit the button while applying pressure to turn the pto to line it up. Will take a few hits to get it all the way over. Hope that is clear as mud? LOL Or, do you have a bearing seperator? Clamp it to the pto apply pressure to the button and rotate.

Holy Crap!! I missed the button part too.. DOH!! Well just ignore my blabbering above... :) It's been one of those days.. Painted the gas tank on the 128 and proceded to drop it on the floor as I was moving it. Yep it was still wet...:bash2:

Ouch, that sucks about the tank:bigeyes:. Nick and DX3 thanks for all the advice!! I do have that exact bearing puller and will try to utilize that in aligning/removing pto. May have to find/fabricate something for a center thrust button to make it work though:bigthink:

I used one of these to release the pressure on the disc
just use a nut in place if the missing button...
Also you don't need to remove the screws on the PTO basket, unless you want to remove that also,in it's condition though, rusty, looks to be another puller for another job...

Nice Lew, I don't have one of those, would come in handy now! Might have to go buy one:biggrin2:

And yes I want to remove the pto basket as it's in need of a sandblasting, lots of rust buildup on it.

_DX3_ 03-02-2011 06:52 PM

I had to drill two holes and use a harmonic balancer puller to get the basket off of mine.

darkminion_17 03-02-2011 07:57 PM

I did that once and it tweaked, and crushed the space between the the pulley I don't recommend doing it that way. There is a special puller out there for removing it,I use the tap and turn method using a brass hammer and plenty of penetrating oil...don't forget to clean and shine up the crankshaft before you begin. It will come off a lot easier.

That's my method too:beerchug:, not sure how much banging this pulley/pto basket will take, may have to replace it. pto looks salvagable though.

darkminion_17 03-02-2011 08:22 PM

Tap lightly my son....

sfaulkner 03-02-2011 08:45 PM
