125 with a Danco loader

A guy I work with has one with a 48" deck I am going to buy. What kinda numbers should I expect to pay? I think I can get it for around $6-700 dollars

cub123 02-28-2011 10:11 PM

YES!the loader is worth more than that, for 6-700 i would buy it.

darkminion_17 02-28-2011 10:24 PM

If you can get it for that I'd jump all over it. What model danco is it? Better yet how many rams does it have on it? It's either a RD-1000 or RD-2000.

For that price you can't go wrong. I payed $1400 for my 125 with a 10-TC Johnson loader on it. I really love it.I try to play with it every day. I did move the loader on to a 126 now, but I still love it.:biggrin2:

MattinmMichigan 02-28-2011 11:44 PM

jeff k. Your original condition 126 W/Johnson loader is...well...what I LOVE to see! Restored or fresh paint is nice but when I see a un-molested tractor in the condition yours is in...it just does something to me! Big thumbs up!

MattinmMichigan 03-06-2011 10:02 AM

Itook some pics with my tele now how do I get them here ? also I found the tag it says rd2149 would that actually be for a 149 ? if so maybee I should put it on there instead

ihnick 03-06-2011 10:47 AM

What I do with my blackberry- I take the picture, then I send it to my email that I can access on my computer. Then I save the picture to my picture albums and do the normal process of uploading pictures.

Did you get a pic of the tag. The Danco tags have two lines one for the model number and under it serial number.

Yep that should do the trick!

Methos 03-06-2011 12:17 PM

Here's Matt's Danco Loader! Let the pics begin! He has the cig lighter too!

nickvanorman 03-06-2011 12:26 PM

ive never seen a Fully hydraulic powered Danco loader before...those are sweet! i must have one!

Methos 03-06-2011 12:27 PM

I see the space next to the frame rails. Looking at the manuals the 125 is listed for the RD-2000 tractor. Not sure why there is a space there. Check it out real good before you use it.

Sweet looking loader!

red56turbo 03-06-2011 01:11 PM

Nice loader!! Thanks for the pics. That Danco is pretty stout looking.:beerchug:

Yamaguy 03-06-2011 01:27 PM

WOW that was a good deal!!! Nice cub

Matt email me and I'll send you the install manual for it. It's to large to send thru the forum.

MattinmMichigan 03-06-2011 01:56 PM

I forgot, thanks Duke for posting pics . The more I think about it I am gonna put the loader on the 149 . I know this machine came out of Pensylvania the loader I think came from Missouri the guy that it before the guy I work with had all kinds of docs and manuals it has Danco manual but it is for a Simplicity a Danco sv4040

Your welcome Matt! The manual has models 70-125 listed as models it fits but there looks to be room for it to mount on a wide frame. Look it over where it mounts to the tractor and make sure it's mounted right.

Let me know if you need any more help!

ACecil 03-06-2011 02:58 PM

Congrats on your 125, and loader, Matt! :beerchug:

MattinmMichigan 03-06-2011 04:33 PM

thanks again Duke ! I just got done printing out the pdf you gave me and put it in the binder with the rest of the goodies . In the binder there is owners, parts, and service manuals a Kohler owners manual ahydro service manual a pto manual a couple different loader manuals both tiller manuals and host of other info . Duke the more I look at the pics in the manual you sent me and what I have there are differences which lead me to believe that it was manufactured for a wide frame and I guess the best way to find out for sure is to mount it on the 149 I have then we will know for sure , again thanks Duke

Glad I could help Matt! Nice binder you've got there! That spacing looks like there is enough room to mount on the 149. Looking forward to your progress!

Sminkey 03-06-2011 09:32 PM

Nice rig and the loader looks great too:beerchug: That's a fantastic deal, have fun with the new toy!!

Hey guys....I just found a 125 w/ Danco Loader

1 Attachment(s)
This is all kinda new to me...I had been looking for some small machine with a loader and came across this one locally. Based on what I read in the forums...guys have me believing that finding a 125 with a loader is so rare that I should just buy it at any price...so I did.
The front wheels should be replaced...it had been run with bad front wheel bearings and the wheel bores are pretty messed up. Anyone have an extra pair of wheels?
I will have to do ,some tweaking on the steering assembly too....just to get it steer properly. Right now I can turn the steering wheel a full half turn before the front wheels begin to turn. LOL.
Here's a pic of it as I brought it home on the trailer.
PS: I found the Cub manuals online....but I really need a manual for the Danco loader. I can't even find where to put the hydraulic fluid in??? The only thing that looks like a possibility, appears to be a vent cap of some sort.
This is my first Cub Cadet,so I need all the help I can get.
Thanks in advance.

rpr383 11-18-2011 08:38 PM

Very nice first cub!

cub123 11-18-2011 09:02 PM

Dude, that is a awesome find! Look like it's in great shape too!

CC1650Dave 11-18-2011 09:33 PM

Nice tractor, and in Florida no less. ;)

You're probably going to have to do a whole rebuild on the steering box to get it back to good. There's plenty of good stuff on the forum about steering rebuilds.

CC1650Dave 11-18-2011 09:34 PM

And since you revived the thread, we can see that Matt never let us know what he did with his loader. Did he move it to the 149? Hows it working? Where's our pictures?
