OK, still in shock here. Thanks to Duke, I've just acquired a collection of cubs and NOS parts:biggrin2:. BIGTIME Thanks:High5:. I'll start with the O's. There are 4 of those, one of them has a rebuilt k161(all new parts), lights and rear pto. A 71 with a NOS K161. A 72, the only NF without fenders:biggrin2:. A LOADED 73 with totally rebuilt engine. 4 100's and they all run, 3 of them have fenders, lights and weights. All the seat pans are uncracked too. Oh ya, there's a Wheel Horse & Ford in there too. There is a bevy of NOS parts and other various parts. Dual wheel spacers, IH weight box, IH rear blade and decks, brinly's and cultivator, Oh I can't wait to get to N.C.:buttrock:

Jude I'm so happy I could help broker the deal the sent your collection thru the roof! This man's collection is prefect fit for your taste and collection. The sad part is I've yet to scratch the surface in all he err you have in parts with a good bit of NOS mixed in. He was telling me about stuff he's never told me about before. I can't wait to start going thru it and sending you pics of all your parts.

Your going to have to get up an hour earlier every day to figure out how which NF your going to ride that day.

I guess it's safe to say the April trip to NC has been delayed for now. Got that plane seat booked yet?

CONGRATS! and I'm so happy I could make both sides very happy with the deal!

cub123 02-16-2011 07:11 PM

cub123 02-16-2011 07:16 PM

cubcadet100; well, MD will be on my way back to VT:bigthink:. Maybe we could get together...

Eric; I'm heading down to Duke's to get the goods. The gentleman lives close to Duke. I like the idea of ya comin down and help, but you're too far west for my trip home:biggrin2:

Allen; Thanks buddy:beer2:

zippy1; LOL, thanks!! I'm quite happy with myself at the moment:HeeHee:
Don't worry, Several of the "new cubs" will find new homes after I restore them. Seriously, does one really need 7 O's:bigthink:

juniors1282 02-16-2011 08:38 PM

Jude, You might want to look into renting a 3/4 ton truck and a 24' uhaul trailer. Might save you a couple bucks on rental and save a little on the fuel. Just a thought. Which way are you going home up the east cost? I like those tri ribs!!!!

Thanks Eric, never thought of pickup and trailer. I'll look into it. Ya, I'll be sticking to the east coast, I-95 almost the whole way. Ya, 2 sets of tri's and a few set's of tubes. I like the tri's alot too!!

Cubcrazy 02-16-2011 08:43 PM

Nice score Jude!!!
Congrats on your haul!!!!

juniors1282 02-16-2011 08:58 PM

Man, If I were you I would run I-77 to 81 and run it north to at least I-80 in PA. That way you can avoid D.C. and Baltimore. Richmond isn't bad but that D.C. is the worst city in America to drive through, or anywhere within 50 miles of it. Baltimore can be just as bad. Philly can be really bad to. And of course I don't need to tell you about NY. You could always stay on 81 to 88 and run up that way. Just a thought. I have spent more hours sitting in D.C. than I can remember, LOL. Those must be the Goodyear tri's that Duke told me about. I'm so stoked for you, glad they didn't fall pray to the wrong hands, if you know what I mean.:beer2:

pulse301 02-16-2011 09:15 PM

Wow, that is an awesome score, sounds like you'll have enough equipment to keep you busy for at least another month or so, once you get it home :biggrin2: When you come down to pick them up, you might as well swing by Atlanta and let me take an O off your hands...I'm just trying to help you save on gas for your trip home :beerchug:

Congrats on the score, can't wait to see you post the pics and vids of everything!

darkminion_17 02-16-2011 09:20 PM

jeez i just got lost in all the pics lol... congrats

hilltop 02-16-2011 11:32 PM

Hey Jude,
Let us know when you start a real collection . . .

Another expense besides the rentals tho . . . you need to invest in a backup camera so as not to run any risk of denying us more pics.

Seriously, congrats man - that's one outstanding score!!

Duke - good on ya for making it happen!

Thanks, lol, they'll be pouring the slab as soon as I hit Powerball:biggrin2:. I'm hoping to make all 4 O's working tractors again.

nashcub 02-17-2011 11:11 AM

Seriously, Jude...

Awesome find for you. Does Duke get "pick of the litter" for his efforts??!! :biggrin2:

I plan on running over to NC in the Spring. I will help Duke sort through all of the Cubs and parts and make sure to cull out anything that I don't think that YOU will need! It's all for the greater good... I just would not want you to overload your trailer... Trust me...

red56turbo 02-17-2011 12:23 PM

Nice score Jude!! Forget the truck and trailer, better rent a tractor trailer and lowboy:biggrin2:. I'm guessing ya like the 7 horse round fender types:ThumbsUp:. Now that you have the pick of the litter, are you going to put that loader on something different, or still the 73? :Bowdown2:

No truck & trailer, I priced that out and would be a good bit more $$ than just getting a 24' box truck. Penske quoted me $650, which is almost $200 cheaper than Uhaul. Ya, kinda have a thing for the round fendered cubs:biggrin2: The 73 is the new proud recipient of the RD1000, was going on the 71, but the 73 is even more rare. Thanks:beerchug:

Don't forget about the dual wheels and the weight box on that 73 plus the RD-1000! Picture this 73 with a fully restored RD-1000 loader on it.:drool2:

I'll try and get the serial numbers for Jude and you. Jude's wanting to see the serial numbers on the O's as well.

I'm still wanting to have a NC cub run still. The first run will be without Jude tho, and we can't go vist those cubs but I've got some more honey holes hidden. Still working on trying to find a 82 honey hole but a couple of phone calls maybe I can round something up.:biggrin2:

My toe nails are still hard from seeing your 149 with that sweet cab!

Hubman 02-17-2011 03:49 PM

Thanks Kevin, what a groupo!! Couldn't be more perfect for my tastes too:beerchug:

Thanks guys!! The 73 is a favorite of mine too:beerchug: Couldn't have hoped for a better 73 than the one I just got:biggrin2:. Will have to figure out some storage?? I do have a storage place about 200 yards up the road from me, may have to rent a storage unit to keep them out of the elements. We get a good bit of rain here in the summer.

You're going to need the space they way he's talking just for the tractors. I had to break the news to Jude that he forgot about everything that he has at his moms house that comes with this deal! I'll let Jude spill the beans on the info I gave him. I'm think 3-4 truck loads of parts only maybe more. I'll get a handle on the size of it the next time go over to his place in a couple of weeks to get my secret replacement loader.:biggrin2: Once the loader is loaded I'll start filling up the bed of my truck and start processing Jude's parts. I've called friends of mine and got room in their 4 car garage to store Jude's parts. The best thing is they don't collect cubs.:biggrin2:
