Just got a 129 Drive lever adjustment?

I just bought my "new" 129 hydro home and I love it

It has a new engine a real nice deck (looks new)
got a plow and a snow blower. has Hydro option

I do have one problem when I engage the drive it tend to
keep "pushing" the lever up and if I don't watch it I end up
going alot faster than I want.

I've seen the pivot for the drive lever and I'm wondering if I tighten it up
the friction will keep the lever in place. Or is there another adjustment

Other than that its the best....

I haven't figured out how to use the rear hydro lift yet but I suppose I'll have
to read the instructions

I also got a "parts" 129 that I was told the engine was stuck.
I spent an hour and got it running great.
The differential was spot on. no hydro option on the spare.

good compression and all.
I'll have to get a gen/starter for it but hell two for the price of one.
(the second will need a hood and grill)
But came with a deck and plow
so 2 plows
2 decks
and one snowblower
life is soooo good
$750
If I got a deal please say so...
If not then say nothing cause it's making me real happy
and I'm glad I spent the money

I ordered up some paint and I'll be spiffing everything up.

I had a MTD build 13.5 hp that died so I bought this on a lark

now that I have it I wonder why they call the MTD a tractor.
This is a tractor!!
thanks

proudhon,

:IH Logo::Welcome2::IH Logo:

Sounds like you got a great deal!

There is another adjustment to tighten the hydro lever up. If you look in the technical area you will find the service manual for your Cub. If you cant find it let us know. But its a simple adjustment the manual has picture of it.

Again sounds like you got a great deal. Post some pictures if you can.

I'm having the same problem. I'm having trouble adjusting the drive lever and it will drift to a faster speed while I'm moving. Where do I find the adjustment?

take top center cover off. look Down by the steering box

Don't overtighten, a little adjustment adds a lot of resistance.
