Where are the Snow Removal Pictures?

I've seen some in the thread about preparation, but where's the action shots? Videos, snowblowing, snowblading? We need pictures.... especially for our southern members.

darkminion_17 12-13-2010 06:48 PM

No snow in Jersey Terry...Just waiting...

gcbailey 12-13-2010 06:52 PM

we've had over 17" in the past 2 weeks, but it's been so powdery you can take a leaf blower and get rid of it...

dieseldan123 12-14-2010 12:06 PM

nothing worth messing with here in nashville. its all the same consistancy of a shushy under 1" of ice. lol a leaf blower does the job for right now, and calling for more ice by thursday

gcbailey 12-14-2010 01:05 PM

we're supposed to get snow/ice/rain on Thur-Fri, maybe something heavy enough to mess with then.

JOHN SCHUTTE 12-14-2010 01:09 PM

I pray the ice they are calling for tommorow never comes! Last January's ice storm was the worst weather I have ever encountered. 12 days with no power! Going to my fathers tonight to put the snow blade on his 129 just in case.

No action pics as I live alone, kinda hard. Will try to get the neighbor to video me soon. Woke up to 3" of really fine snow, so I broke out the 71 with the cc36 and had some fun!!

johncub7172 12-14-2010 07:04 PM

Here is some snow.....

Lots of snow up here in N.E Ohio! Here are some action shout of yesterday. Worked the cub pretty hard pushing my neighbor's drive as the drifts were 3ft. tall. And with gas at 3 bucks a gallon.... got stuck and that is never fun because I almost have to hook up the old Ford the tractor is so darn heavy!:American Flag 1: The IH Cub Cadet is doing a great job, would like to get it cleaned up but dont have much time or good weather!:beer2::Cub3:

cvcman 12-14-2010 07:09 PM

we've been getting pounded 2ft last week 2 more on the way all lake effect. I love central NY in the summer...

cvcman 12-14-2010 07:10 PM

Not bad for a 40.00 tractor and an 80.00 blower ! I need a cab and something to lift this heavy blower

jbollis 12-14-2010 08:09 PM

It is coming down almost as fast as we can move it, most of the day today. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow.

TEET 12-14-2010 09:29 PM

Well..its not really a pic, but a video. Its not the greatest quality, and my 9 year old was behind the camera, so go easy on me :biggrin2.gif:

Great video and videographer:beerchug: . Nice looking 1211, that thing handles that 54 blade well. Wish we could get some white stuff here in NC.

T-Mo 12-14-2010 11:18 PM

Jeff,
Great video and kudos to the camera(man).

Guys,
If you don't mind, could you register (if haven't already) and add pictures and videos to my Cub Cadet Picture & Video Gallery. Thanks.

I am going to try and get back out later this week and see if I can get some clean up done if it warms up above zero..

Mountain Heritage 12-15-2010 09:30 PM

JayBrd....SWEET pictures! That 682 looks great at work. LOVE the tires on that thing. The white stuff in the background makes it even better, the meaty lugs are swell. :beerchug: I'd have to say I am really wanting some ags on my 982 now! The more I see set ups like yours and some others on here.....NICE!

hilltop 12-16-2010 12:19 AM

Man, you guys are killin' me!

We've gotten nothing but record rain and warm temps here - I had 4 days with 8" on the ground right before Thanksgiving but I just bought my 104 and don't have anything (blade, weights, chains etc) set up for it yet.

Keep posting those pics so I can do a little vicarious living!

Jay - Now that's the kind of "climb back in the saddle" attitude that gets the work done!

great site lots of info thanks.heres my cub 100 with a qa 42a snowblower .works great .I had my doubts about 10 hp running a 42 inch blower. . I am wrong .8 inches of snow the cub ate it up and spit it out. useing the plow took me about an hour to do my driveway .It took me a half hour to blow it.I love my tinker toy. let it snow

ACecil 12-18-2010 12:52 PM

Great looking 100, cab and snow thrower! :beerchug:

johncub7172 12-18-2010 05:41 PM

Very cool snow removal tool! Yea, it does take me a bit of time just to do my short drive, ...but love the seat time! So many cool things to add to my cub! Want hyd. more than any....to get my disk-gang going up and down to start!:beerchug:

hilltop 12-18-2010 07:08 PM

Hey Jay,

Got it on the photos - I was referring to your willingness to get back on your tractor ASAP . . . I know a lot of fellas who've been spooked off their equipment by close calls ( even w/o a big bite like yours) and won't go near it again, so kudos to ya!!

Gotchya, I hear you there.. Believe me, I don't get off the tractor now without quad-tripple checking everything is not moving..

I in fact got in the saddle TOO hard, I shattered the seat vinyl the first time I sat in it...:bash2: I did clean up work for a couple hours the other day. Right now I have it torn down and giving it a second once over so I can be sure I have no further issues.. I have to watch the cold and how I forget to grab things differently, but I can't stand not doing stuff.

Seat Time

2 Attachment(s)
Finally I got this thing out of the garage and actually got about an hour seat time on it. It was so cold in the garage that the hydralics were almost too stiff to use it but it warmed up pretty fast. I'm attaching two photos of my adventure. In one photo notice that while I'm checking the pager I accidently scooped up the Kabota that we lost last year. I didn't have the weights on the back this time because of the work I was doing to the rear end but I used small children. Unfortunately they come off too easily.

JayBrd 12-20-2010 02:41 PM

:ROTF2:

This post made my day THANK YOU!! Nice QL too!

ACecil 12-20-2010 10:46 PM

Nice pics! Your cub and loader is awesome. :beerchug:

Yamaguy 12-21-2010 01:38 AM

That's Awsome, I would like to have loader someday on the 147!

NiasNeb 12-21-2010 09:52 AM

Loader

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. My next venture will be getting a 3-point hitch for it with the goal of adding a blade to the back end. Then I'll paint both the bucket and the blade white.
