Can you spot the difference in these photos, same tractor, same person, just 42 years apart.

Maybe, the question should be - "Can we spot the similarities?"
Excellent photos, btw. I spy another Cub Cadet in the first picture, the older picture. |
Nice pics, you look right at home on the 102! Like the 100 in the first pic.
|
Your eyes must be better than mine are, Allen. I couldn't make out if that said "100" or "70" on the hood.:bigthink:
|
I couldn't make the numbers out either, Terry. It seems that you can see part of the air cleaner in the pic, and it looks like a 100 air cleaner.

Nice Pic!
You certainly grew into that Cub:biggrin2.gif:. Great pics and your Cub looks as good now as it did then!!
|
I guess you figure out if you and your cub are good looking when you're younger cuz if me and my cub still go with each other after a few years, we are going to be one ugly pair :Forgot::Whistle:

My eyes are drawn to the Firebird in the background!
You are very lucky to still have that tractor. Congrats! |
Now that is cool!!
|

That is just COOL beyond words. Did you ever think you would still be using the same Cub after all these years? :biggrin2.gif: |
Thats Cool Bob! Give us the full story! :beerchug:
|
Do you still have the narrow front?
|
Awesome pics!

Thanks guys,
That first photo was at our small towns annual Labor Day tractor pull. That 100 in the background belonged to a friend of my Dad's. Also if you look close, you'll see some kids sitting on the fenders of a red outfit behind me. That was a homemade job with a Wisconsin 2 cylinder that always walked away with the prize. Back then, the classes were all about weight. Weigh in at the scales of the local grain elevator, then to the track. If you look, you'll see a bar stuck in the footboard and over the rear axle with an IH wheel and suitcase weights on the 100, also notice the pallet with sandbags on the homemade job. We'd pull a sheet of aluminum and every 10' or so on the track another person would jump on till ya stalled out. No weight transfer sleds needed.:biggrin2.gif: You use to see just about every make of tractor then. Wheel Horse, Simplicity, A-C, and those ugly green things. I can still hear all those belts squeeling on the old J-D's.:biggrin2.gif::biggrin2.gif: OlGeorge, that's my '50 Chevy pickup, another interest of mine. I also have a '51 I'm restoring. Bob |
Awwww chebbie pick ups,
I remember when they came out new :biggrin2.gif: |
that is so totally awesome to keep it in the family that long!!!
|
There's no cell phone on your hip in the first picture.
That is great! Never had a tractor when I was a kid. Had to wait until I was 40, then I bought one older than me. |
