Time to get the Torch & Welder Out - Implements
 

My pastor gave these to me today. As soon as I get time I will attempt to convert these over to sleeve hitch type implements. The plow will require the most work - some one already tried to convert it over, but it needs to be reworked.

If any one has dimensions on the plows, let me know - I need measurements from the plow to the hitch, height, etc. And maybe some ideas on how to make the plow adjustable.

Woohoo Tmo. You got some cool stuff there, that plow looks to be and 8" or 10" and should work good for you. A disc and cultivator, now you can farm till you fall over.

I wonder what make they are? No matter, you can make em' your own and use the crap out of them.

Tmo. I just took another look, if you want to adjust your plow you just need to be able to tip the point up or down to make it go in the ground.

If you need any help just give a holler, if you could get them over to Rolla, I am always welding and fabricating, be glad to help out.

Ya know Tmo. We need to know what size that plow is, 8, 10, 12inch. Cause I've got a couple 8" plows already set up for sleeve hitch, we could just swap and save us some work, since I don't use a sleeve hitch anyways.

I wouldn't be too hasty cutting that rear grader blade up. They all appear to be for a Sears, (Roper), tractor, (60s and 70s). I have a 1971 Sears Surburban SS-12. That rear blade will bring a pretty penny, they are rare. I ended up buying a Craftsman sleeve hitch rear grader blade and adapted a sleeve hitch frame to my 3 point hitch to be able to use it because I couldn't find the Sears 3 point rear grader blade. Just my 2 cents.

A couple of pics. It ain't an IH CC, but has gotten me thru the last 6 years. My father purchased new. Last winter's storms killed me with the manual front and rear blades, that's when I went looking for an IH CC with hydraulics and found the 1450. The electric lift for the 3 point hitch is even harder to find and if you do, ya best have deep pockets.

Sounds like a plan to me. I don't think this ground here can handle anything larger than a 10 inch plow, so 8 inch should be fine.

If I knew someone who needed it and was close by, maybe I could sell it or swap it or just give it to him. I'm not that interested in making a buck off these things, but to put them to use. That rear blade is pretty heavy duty, so I probably will go ahead and convert it to a sleeve hitch and use it.

Before you cut her up, I have a Craftsman rear grader blade I'd swap. You ship to me and I'll ship to you.

That is tempting, except shipping would kill us both. I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap to ship from Missouri to Delaware and vice versa. If it would be reasonable I would gladly do it.

Yeah, you're probably correct. Mama would kill me anyway. She wants one of the tractors gone and it ain't gonna be the Cub. She doesn't understand why I need a tractor when I can mow the place in 45 minutes with a 22" self propelled mower. I've told her it's a tractor thing, just like my Jeep thing, and she doesn't understand that either!

My wife is always threatening to parked all my tractors near the road with for sale signs on them. I said, if you do I just have to replace them.

You could do the same to her and get replacement. hehe
