102 mule drive

1 Attachment(s)
I picked up a bunch of spare parts from the guy I got my 102 from. He had the mule drive but it's missing the pulleys. I can't seem to find anything about the mule drive other than some pics from other models. What am I missing besides the obvious pulleys? I think there is supposed to be another bar in the middle and some springs...

Ok so I'm missing parts 2, 3, 11, and two of 5. I need to get the part numbers :bigthink:

I didn't know they still had that info on the official website, considering the age. Heck when I called Cub Cadet about my 2155 they had zero idea what it was

But there isnt a part number for item 3, only it's name "Support Assy, Idler" which is vague.

Look again,
You have #2 already

EternalArianne 08-01-2026 02:48 PM

Yeah so I just need the idler support assembly and the pulleys. The pulleys are easy enough to find, I might even have some that will fit in a drawer somewhere. But that support assembly is gonna be hard to find for a decent price. I only paid $30 for a big bucket full of spare parts, including the mule drive bracket.

Just GOOGLE 473463r92. A few pop up for around $40-$45.

Ok I found the idler assembly for $40 and it comes with bolts for the pulleys but no pulleys. My neighbor has a box of brand new pulleys he got from a guy a while back, gonna see if any of them are the correct size. Next will be finding all the undercarriage frame parts, which is proving to be the most difficult. I figure, once I have all the mounting for a deck, I can put any one I I want on there (within reason) just get the right length belt...

Is there a major difference between the frames 478878-R92 and IH-490467-R1 they look basically the same except for some extra holes in the latter and the skid plate looks a bit smaller...

darkminion_17 08-20-2026 09:06 AM

The frames are basically the same, it is the front pivot link that is different.

EternalArianne 08-20-2026 01:15 PM

Ok thanks the only frame I could find is the one with extra holes but the pivot link I got is correct for the pin-on deck so I should be good

darkminion_17 08-20-2026 02:16 PM

Does it have the cross brace where the rear of the deck attaches?

EternalArianne 08-20-2026 03:41 PM

No cross bar in the back, just extra holes around the hanger mounts. And the skid plate is welded on the inside of the frame like the quick attach version, not the outside like the pin-on version. It's like a weird in-between frame

I went to the CC website (link in the header above) your 2155 tractor has all the parts and exploded views for tractor and accessories listed.
I would suggest finding a different dealer.

I don't have the 2155 anymore but it was Cub Cadet themselves that I called at the time, not a dealer. That was a few years ago maybe they have updated the website since then. Used to be you couldn't half find anything parts related on there...
