Allen, Thanks for posting pics! I took a ton of pics but some how never got a pic of my rig. hehe I had a blast! My cheeks are sore from smiling all day. Jim Moore hosted one heck of a plow day! It was great to put a face to the voices I've been talking to the past several months.

If you've never done a PD make the time and attend one it will something you'll never forget.

I got home at 8:30 and the kids mobed when I got home so going to post pics tomorrow. I've got several hundred pics to go thru.

My summary of the day:

The rows were long, the dirt was red and the friendships are ever lasting.

ACecil 09-11-2010 11:51 PM

Thanks again, guys!

Duke: I couldn't have said it any better!

Methos 09-12-2010 12:11 AM

I lied here's some pics from PD! If your in a pic and want a copy contact me via PM or email thru OCC.

The 5th pic I like the best. That's a pic of forum member esarvey aka DaDuke.

We had 14 GT's and all but 2 were Cubs! The Sears did a fine job but made me glad I had my hydro lift!

1st row Bob helped me get unstuck a couple of times!
2nd row Robert and David Iluvtruks0 here on the forums
3rd row DaDuke aka esarvey here on the forums and Danny
4th row Aaron and Mike on sears and Aaron
5th row Mike on sears and Vince
6th Bob outa gas and doing the wave around! He only went thru 3 tanks of gas!
7th row Jackie bring a much needed refill
8th row Allen's trailer queen er 100 before he headed home and Paul's hydro
9th row The only pic I got of my 122 before I went to go look at more cubs and parts

Whew I hope that helps!

T-Mo 09-12-2010 07:51 AM

Looks like everyone had a great time.

So, when do we get names to the faces? It would be nice to put names to these pictures. Thanks, Allen and Duke, for posting them.

Oak 09-12-2010 08:41 AM

Can someone put some names with the pics? I wana know so I can put a face with a name:Wave:. Looks like it was a great time. Wish I coulda been there.:beerchug:

Allen and David we need to tag team these photo's and get some names with these faces. I'm the one on the red 122 w/FEL. In Allen's first pic That's me and Allen. David is on the 882D. I got every one's names but old age sucks!

Oak it was a great time! There's always next PD you could make it to! The Pickens SC PD would be a little closer to you.

ACecil 09-12-2010 08:04 PM

Anytime Bill! I had an awesome time. The 100 did it's job flawlessly! :IH Logo:

Man thats an awsome shot of my youngest, Danny, on his 100. If you would can you email me a hi res photo of that please.

The one on the 582 is Vince, and other is Danny, better known around here as double and trouble! Some of you that were at my plow day here in Picens last year know how much trouble Danny can be cause thats the tractor he rolled! This was his first time really back on a tractor, other than just moving one around. Talk about being grounded!

Oak

I have Redneck Plow day here in april every year. We had 30 plus tractors this spring and we ran out of land and food, so Im guessing it was a success! Im not far far from you and if you would like to go to a fun one theres one in Bama just above Aniston and you can find the info on Weekend Freedom machines. Its put on by the deere guys but as all plow days its all about fun and they welcome all colors. Some of the r E g I s T r Y guys will be there, and i belive they are members here too, I know Tim Ham is, and I usuly get Allen to post any sothern plow days here for me. The fields are long and sandy so 3rd gear plowing is an option!

After Allen, Duke and Joe Allen left we lined up the tractors for a parade plow. Heres the pic and if you wanna see the video you can see it on my blog site that some of you follow around the plow day times.

http://redneckplowday.blogspot.com/

And if you wanna see the cub out running the deeres well look here on you tube at this one! Heres his post!

Hey guys, sorry it took me so long. I have been busy with work and everything else. I had my wife post one of the videos on youtube. There is one more that I will post as soon as I can.

Looks like ya'll were sure havin' fun. Now I feel bad that I have to plow all by myself, gotta get some more land so Tmo can come up and play in the dirt, like you guys.

I really like that loadet also, that sure is cooool.

Cadet Farmer

Iluvtruks0 09-12-2010 09:38 PM

ok well here are some of the names that are missing. The father and son pair on the Sears are Mike and Aaron Pinion respectively. Bobs son(bringing the gas) is named Jackie and he is Robert's dad. 3 generations plowing. The last picture that Duke(Methos) posted is of Pauls cub. I dont recall the model # but its a hydro that did real well esp after we removed the coulter wheel. It wasn't allowing the plow to go as deep as he wanted. He also made one awesome foot pedal that linked into the hydro drive and that allowed a hand to free up and steer while the other worked the lift. Great thinking.

Thats me on the 882 and there was one more diesel...a 1512 and thats Joe Allen-Cub Collector from Mt. Airey NC. We had one awesome time and cant wait till the next. Word on the street is, there is one coming up in TN at the Mayfield Ice Cream plant. Vince o can elaborate more on it.

Thanks guys for coming and making it a success. Ill post my pics soon

Methos 09-12-2010 09:38 PM

Thanks Vince! I've changed the names in my posting. I loved seeing Vince ask you if you've checked the oil on the 582 before you closed the hood. Your teaching them well. Danny's pic turned out great! It took me about 10 tries to get a good one of him. Both your boys can drive the cubs with the best of them. Looking forward to your PD.

It was a blast you and Terry (TMO) would have fun! I really enjoy the loader. I tried to give bucket rides but no one wanted one. hehe

The Mayfield plow day can e seen on Weeend Freedom as well. It looks like a ton of fun with punkin chunkin, corn maze and lots of food! I dont belive that Ill make that one. With starting a new job I dont want to wear out my welcome. Im going to go to the Bama one for sure and then head up to Pa d=for some deer hunting.

Im going to try and talk to some of the comercial farmers around here to see if I can get their fields. Looks like Ill need about 20 acres for next spring so I need to get up and going. The nice thing about Dons place is, Don. Hes a old farmer and his family had owned all that land around there. He knows how to keep his fields nice and rich and they are easy for us to plow. Not to mention that he gets a kick out of us, me, plowing crooked! I think hes nuts, and well maybe we both are!

If your an IH fan hes a good guy to talk with. Hes run equipment all his life, sold for IH dealers, and like I said farmed al his life, and hes old. Up behind his house is a few IH pick ups, countless trucks, loaders, pull pans, rare war time trucks, and more junk. He has 4 or 5 farmall cubs 5 power kings 5 or 6 cubs, some massy 10 and 12 I thin, new holands, and some ropers. Not to mention a few pipe liners, back hoe, trenchers, and more junk.

Heres Me Allen and Don

T-Mo 09-13-2010 07:25 AM

Vince,
Nice videos. I looked at the one you posted on your site, at home. I doubt if I can view it from my work pc as I'm sure my company has blocked it. They block any site related to social networking, like facebook, myspace, etc. They even block Yosemite Sams cub site. Go figure.

Cadet farmer,
I was thinking the same thing as you - really nice dirt down in NC. Not like this rocky ground we have here.

For those who don't know, I lived in an area called the lead belt area - it's called that for good reason. The ground is rich, but not the kind for farming type rich. It's has lead, iron ore, granite, tiff (barite), etc. Towns include names like Leadwood, Irondale, Ironton, etc. There's even an Iron County. The area sits on one of the richest iron areas in the world. So we can grow any rock you want, but it's not too good for farming.

I'm looking forward to do some plowing with Cadet Farmer.

I drink Iron City Beer dose that make me kinda special? :beer2:

Iluvtruks0 09-13-2010 10:25 PM

Hey Vinny--Where in the world do you get Iron City beer in SC? also where in the world do you find a bag of chips that big? Jeez.

I talked to Robert about 20 min ago...says your gonna go to the plow day in TN. I cant wait!

ACecil 09-13-2010 10:50 PM

David, are you going to TN?

Iluvtruks0 09-13-2010 10:53 PM

Yes Allen we are. Robert, his dad and his grandpa. 4 of us in my truck. I just posted some info about it on the events section

JayBrd 09-13-2010 11:48 PM

Thanks for the pics guys, they are great!

Vince, love the video...Glad to see you over here now too :beerchug:

Vince_o 09-14-2010 06:04 AM

Dave

Yes I'll be attending. I e-mailed Robert we can't stay on the how grounds so you guys figure out what you wanna do and Kathy and will follow, unless you guys go recklessly off a cliff and down into a deep furrow, then we will stay some where else! :biggrin2.gif:

You guys call me this weekend and we will figure it out.

Those 3 rock! Grandpa=Bob is hooked!

David do you think it would be a problem if I posted some of their cubs here? They have some sweet tractors. Jackie has a eye for style and they do great work!

Iluvtruks0 09-14-2010 03:44 PM

Vince...I checked into the campgrounds that are close to the pd in TN. They are $22/night with full hookups and they have bath houses. Those showers will be a blessing if the fields in TN are anything like there were in Albemarle. I thinking the 4 of us would stay in Bob's enclosed trailer at that camp park unless they want to do something else. But that would prob be cheapest for us. We'll def get together soon and talk it out and let you know.

Duke...I dont see why they would have a problem with you posting those pics. I have already done so on here once before. Back in October or November i think??? Go ahead because im sure your pics are a lot better than mine.

Thanks I'll post them. If it hadn't been raining I would have loved to pull them outside for some better shots of them.
