Picked this up yesterday...
 

2023 Chevy Silverado W/T 1500 2wd, 8' bed. Brand new to me. Has a 2.7 turbo on it.
Now for a new Garage.

What size deck can you mount on that?

We're with you, we tend to drive things all pre 2000. Gets kinda old.

Nice truck! It’s nice to see new regular cab long beds compared to all of the extended cabs/crew cabs with useless extra short beds.

Single cabs are uncommon and eight foot beds are fairly rare too. Both together is almost a collector series! Enjoy the ride!

Good for you. My wife has been on me to get a new truck, my 2006 Silverado has 176k on it. She says I need to get a new one while I still have enough sense to learn to operate it. I've been curious about the 2.7 T engine, we have a 2019 Equinox with a 2.0T with a little over 50k that has not given any trouble. My 2006 has a 5.3 but it doesn't have the AFM crap.

I'm curious/skeptical of the 2.7. It'll be interesting to hear how yours holds up. Granted the 5.3 was ruined by AFM, so it's not like that was any better. :bigthink:

So far no problems, torqey when the turbo kicks in. Nothing like a fine wine when you are driving.
