Is this worth the price?

Hi Guys, This 104 is up for sale near me and I'd like to get your expert advice for the price. He wants $550. I'm basically interested in the plow ,tires, and the weights. I would put them on my 127 and just sell the tractor minus the parts I want. Are there 2 sets of weights on this? I'm looking to move where I'll be dealing with some snow. After living in Fl for 23 yrs I will welcome snow and colder weather.
The tractor runs, he said, and the tranny is good according to him. I haven't got to see it yet but I will this week. I value the opinions of the guys I've dealt with in the past on this forum which is why I'm asking this of you now. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, Mike |
Looks like a good price to me.
Around here a pair of weights would go for anywhere from $100 to $150 and the plow might bring another $150. Looks like 2 pair on it to me. Then throw in a running 104 with Ag tires and you have the beginnings of a bargain. :IH Trusted Hand: |
Thanks Red Dave, I sorta thought that might be an OK price. I mean the tires which are new front and back plus the Ag's and the plow would probably be worth the asking price.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal down here in the south. Like Red said the weights are worth at least $250, blade $150 and I think those are True Powers on the rear for another $125. I bet if ya pull $450 cash out they take it. Where ya moving to?

Thanks for your thoughts. Those weights seem to hold a pretty good price if you can even find them. All the ones i've seen are usually around $200+/- and being there are 2 pair thats even more attractive. He said he wanted to get the $550 for it. I would take it for $500 but with the rarity anymore for something thats in nice shape like this one I'm not going to let $50 be a deciding factor.
I don't have an exact area pinned down yet but it will be in either eastern TN,southern VA or northern NC. I want the seasons again. To flat and hot down here not to mention the people that are moving in. And after going through hurricane Ian that's it, I'm throwing in the towel. Have a good one.. |

the headlight kit is worth some money too. and you're gonna want headlights since during snow season it seems is always dark when I am moving snow.

Do you have it home yet??!!

I agree that it’s a good deal. Just warning you now, I have bought a few tractors like that, that had something I wanted for one of my other ones. Then I was going to sell them, I still have them. Start making room in the garage, don’t expect it to leave once you get it home. :biggrin2:

Yes,I would agree its worth it.Lots of good items you can use or even resell. It looks clean. If it has a good engine and drive line it wiil resell fairly easy as thats where you could put a lot of money in it.Good luck on it and your move

That prick sold it out under me. Probably got more than the asking price. No disrespect to the young folks on here but this is the norm for the younger generation sellers on marketplace. O well Karma will get him. |
