I just talked to him probably a month or two ago and he said he was ready to retire. I will definitely miss him. He’s a great man and will be missed in this community.
May you rest in peace Roland.

With deepest sympathy...

Roland was a very giving person who was willing to share his time and knowledge of Cub Cadet tractors for the benefit of so many enthusiasts on the Only Cub Cadets website. It's sad that he was taken so soon, as he was just entering the "youth of old age" stage in his life. My condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Man, that is about the worst news I could have come across on this forum. RIP Roland.

ChristopherCT 09-07-2023 02:22 PM

Wow. I am saddened by this. His knowledge, his quick replies, and his generosity really helped me a lot with my '72. He seemed to be always giving help, and never judgemental about the question, the story, or the problem you were having. I bet he is missed by his family.

heinriech 09-29-2023 10:57 AM

Sorry for the loss of Roland, prayers for him and his family. He was as many had already said very much a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help! We should all strive to keep a little of his spirit with us and help others the way he did!

jbrewer 09-30-2023 01:56 PM

He was always a tremendous help to me.

1811woody 11-23-2023 05:03 PM

Sad news indeed

I haven't been here for awhile so this is new news for me.. His knowledge he passed on will be missed, many thanks for his patience in answering my many questions. RIP

EternalArianne 12-30-2024 09:49 PM

I know it's been over a year since Roland passed, but my wife and I were recently talking about how vintage cars and other equipment don't have many people left who know how to fix/maintain them. Everything is disposable these days, and it's very sad. I'm glad for places like this where those with knowledge can pass on what they know to those of us who care to learn. As much of an @$$ that Roland and George and the others can be at times, I'd take their attitude any day if it means I get their knowledge as well lol. Thanks guys, we'll pass it on best we can and keep this lost knowledge going as long as we can!
