782 3 point lift bar

SORRY GANG…left out the 3pt hitch part.

Can anyone please post a pic of a 782 lift bar FOR A 3 POINT HITCH with the overall length? I believe they’re different than the regular sleeve hitch lift bar. Thanks in advance

First, welcome to OCC........ :Welcome2:

You can simply use a straight bar, using the dimensions in the image. I have been using the straight bar on 782 for 20+ yrs.

That red one is a lift bar for a 582.

Farmall450 05-18-2023 09:43 PM

I understand the 782 to use a straight one. Also, I think the smaller hole should be counterbored or sunk for the clevis pin head.

Here's what should fit a 1/2 clevis pin.

I need info on the correct one for a 3 point. I’ve got the numbers for the standard sleeve hitch. I believe they’re different

That Bar is for the traditional IH 3point That you use the Brinly hitch on
Are You Looking for That Bar or or the Cat O 3 Point Lift Bar 703-0811 ?

He said he wasn't looking for the sleeve hitch one (I know the purists like to call the sleeve hitch/Brinly adapted setup a 3 point, but that was really a misnomer on IH's part by today's standards).

I’m installing the true 3 point set up; not the Brinly sleeve hitch. I gotta come up with the lift bar that runs from the hydraulic link under the tower back to the hitch plate

Does the true 3 point hitch plate take the same length as the sleeve hitch set up?

Sleeve hitch adaptor type lift uses lift bar #703-0408 and is for 782's w/ser #'s 719999 and lower w/IH cast iron differential housing.

Cat '0' type 3 point is used w/ser #'s 720000 and up used lift bar #703-0811 and the aluminum differential housing.

Two different animals.

That's what I thought, but I was confused by Roland giving him the Part Number for the straight IH 3 Point Bar. I gave him the Part Number for the True MTD Cat 0 3 point Hitch Lift Bar.

I bet Aaron from Xtreme would give him the dimensions for the bar if He wants to make it himself. Aaron's bar is based On the OEM Cat 0 Lift Bar, not the IH 3 Point Lift Bar. If anybody has a standard Garden tractor with the MTD Made Cat 0, they could give him the dimensions as well for the Hydraulic Lift Models, used Bar 703-0811.

It's public info when the repros are just the IH/CCC design.

I know it's public info, but Aaron already has the correct dimensions
