Hydraulic Plow
I have a 1994 1641 which only has a hydraulic lift for the snow blade. Has anyone made a conversion to make it a 4 way plow? I'm pretty good mechanically but lack some hydraulic experience.

On the 1641, you can install a 42" or 54" dozer blade:
42 = 190-375 54 = 190-376 Either way, you will need a sub frame 190-377, or 190-316 Sub Frame (on Tractor S/N: 821,101 >) For Hydraulic Angle, you will need: * 190-378 Hyd Angle Kit * 759-3493 Front Outlet Kit |
I have the Hyd Angle Kit , but I need to find the front outlet kit. Does that outlet kit come with a 4 way valve for left/ right operations and a control stick too?

A Internet Search comes up with........ https://www.ihccw.com/blades.html?product_id=12423

In 2001
the price was 311.93. Still a bargain, by the time you find all the used parts that need new parts. |
You could get a JD double valve and have two hoses made up to go to the front.
Or mount a cheap two spool valve and take the return oil off the tractors existing valve. Although you only need one more, a two spool only cost a couple bucks more and is the same work to mount. Then you have a spare circuit for something else. Just plug it till you do. |
I'll e-mail you the Cyclops service manual. The instructions about how to install the extra valve and front outlets are found on page 7-28 through 7-36

Sam Mac. That would be great. It’s east to find part numbers. Harder to find the parts Thank you

Hydraulic Plow
There is a video on youtube of a guy retrofitting manual blades to hydraulic angling blades using a lift cylinder and bracket from a 1650. The holes on the bracket from the cylinder nearly line up exactly with the mounting holes in the plow frame. He also used a pin from the the 1650 lift to attach the working end of the cylinder to the pivot point on the plow.
I tried to find the video again but couldn't. It played after automatically after a few other tractor videos. Perhaps someone might have better luck finding it. This fix it guy said that it was such an easy mod that he would do it to other blades if people wanted angling blades for themselves. :biggrin2: |
