Looks MTD. Louvers in hood. Not a 75 model I don't think. Price is way too much.Just a lawnmower.

R Bedell 10-26-2021 09:55 AM

Looks like a Quietline Series Garden Tractor.

Cubcadet_107 10-26-2021 10:00 AM

Beat me to it Roland :biggrin2:

Picture is pretty small, but I do believe I see the top of a hydro lift lever, leading me to think it's either a 1450 or a 1650. Probably not a bad deal for $500, but the motor mounts are probably shot.

finsruskw 10-26-2021 10:14 AM

I concur
Lousy picture
side panels are missing as well
Looks like a 50" deck from here

Sc120sc 10-26-2021 10:15 AM

Not sure its a 14 or 1650.. sorry about the bad screenshot pic. I looked up the 1450/1650 on tractordata and neither has louvers in the hood top. This tractor does. Also this tractor has slide on rear wheels not lug bolts.

Its pretty raggedy cond. I am not interested i just saw on FB marketplace..aka ******** junkyard.

R Bedell 10-26-2021 10:18 AM

I don't know of a Quietline Series Tractor that had "louvers". Can't tell from that picture.

finsruskw 10-26-2021 10:24 AM

That's one of the nice things about a QL, the enclosed motor compartment sure helps keep the elements out.

Probably looks like something there in that pic, crap laying in the depressed sections of the hood.

Cubcadet_107 10-26-2021 10:37 AM

Looking again, there is definitely something going on with the rear wheels that don't look right. I suppose some sort of wheel weights? But they look to be too far inside the rim :bigthink:

Its definitely louvers. I have another pic on my tablet that I can see better. Its also got slide on keyed back wheels like a lawn tractor. I say its 80s MTD.

When I asked the seller a couple questions he quickly deleted the ad after saying 2 minutes before it was available. And blocked me.

Thinking the same thing.

It’s definitely an IH built Quietline, mid - late 70s. Don’t see any louvers, but I do see another tractor behind it, looks like a Sears, maybe that’s what you see. Bad picture, but it looks to me like a gear drive with a manual lift (800, 1000, 1200). I agree with the others, it looks like wheel weights.

Yes thats a Suburban in there and other stuff. Those ARE louvers. I can see them good on my other device.Maybe thats the wrong hood. The old tractor is in bad shape and could be cobbled together from misc stuff.

Cubcadet_107 10-26-2021 11:25 AM

Something was definitely up with the machine... especially if they deleted the ad when you started asking questions.

Any chance we can see those better pictures??

R Bedell 10-26-2021 11:25 AM

IF......there are louvers, (A) It is NOT a Cub Cadet design, or (B) It is a PO modification, or (C) It is a hood from another brand of tractor.

The picture is so poor, I can't see any louvers.

No I can't get the pic transferred. He deleted the ad. Those "louvers" may have been cut out homemade.I have seen many people chop big holes in those plastic hoods for whatever reason.

Its not uncommon around here for junk resellers to block you when you start questioning things.Their fishing for a sucker in most cases.

The Quietlines had a STEEL hood.

finsruskw 10-26-2021 04:28 PM

Kind of defeats the purpose of a hood it one is going to poke it full of holes.

RustyShackleford 10-26-2021 09:36 PM

Maybe someone overheated it and thought adding louvres would keep it cooler. Or maybe they thought it was too slow and needed “speed holes” :bigthink:

See if this helps.

Just looks like a dirty hood to me as if it has been sitting out under a tree for a long while.

My thought too - dirty hood. Kind of a shady deal...
