Mini-Dozer Build
2 Attachment(s)
I've started the dozer build.
Posted this design/explanation a few months ago: https://youtu.be/gJNo8XFiUnU Will publish the first real build episode in the coming week. Just finished assembling a Langmuir Pro CNC plasma table. Waiting on the actual torch. Like a lot of stuff, supply chain issues have delayed the torch for a couple more weeks. Then, it's game on. I started with a basically a bare 1450 frame with just a dash, rear end with ported hydro and front axle. Bought that from a guy who builds pullers and had this left over. I then found a 1210 that had been sitting for 10 or 15 years. That's the frame on the left in the pic. Pics below--the concept, and the current state of the build. The video to be published later this week will cover the work to get to the two stripped down frames. |
Can't wait to see, the grader was awesome !:beerchug:

Wow, what a nice table, I'd love to have one of those. Keep us posted how it works with lots of pics too. I'll be watching as I did last time.

Oh, and I had to put in an entire new air system, new compressor, after cooler, moisture separators, and a refrigerated air dryer. Plasma cutters need dry air. https://youtu.be/Lt5gM95RQ2A |
Excellent. Can't wait to see the table in action.

I ordered a bunch of sheet steel, so I'm ready. |
Did you ever get your plasma table set up?

I've been cutting 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 material a lot. Getting ready to try it on 1/2 inch in the next week or two. I'm building the mini dozer my YouTube channel, Wood and Metal Shop Time: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC43...gq4W_ZBGMVmT5A Footage of the plasma table is featured in many of the videos. |
I had forgotten about your youtube channel. Holy cow have you been busy. Incredibly good video work to. This crawler is going to be great.

Great video, very impressive work !!!:beerchug:

Great work on the project:ThumbsUp:
I subbed to your channel for the build:popcorn: |
Fancy seeing you on here, Frank! Big fan of your work. It turned out really nice so far! I know it's not 100% complete, but I just watched your latest episode today and it looks like you're nearing the end of the build. It's been a treat to watch it all come together, plus I always get a kick out of seeing the pups. What a duo! :biggrin2:
Looking forward to seeing the next "Cub Argo" project, whenever that takes place. :beerchug: |

Version 1.0 is done now. Some improvements coming in a few weeks, especially a new/better looking blade. |
I went look at a project dozer (CC125). Seller has little to no info. Appears to be an unfinished kit. For example, the blade is missing and also hydraulics. Can anyone assist me in evaluating this project dozer? See pics below.

Pic2: https://photos.app.goo.gl/4JrVTGUAJ4jCWXC36 Appears that my photos from Google Photos are not appearing in the forum. I continue to not be able to post pics. But apparently the links work correctly. Apologies for the messy post |
That's no kit. That's custom built. Probably never was a blade built for it. You're on your own basically. It's pretty neat.
|
That's a real nice set up. I hope you get plenty of use out of her.
